OS/X Global Settings for Apperance?

I would like to know if it's possible to set all my listboxes to display "Lists" without Icons. I have looked all over the place and have not figured out how..

If you can't why not? Seems like a good idea.

Thanks!

istboxes? Do you mean Finder windows? If so, then no. The default is icon view and Finder->Prefs->General only allows a column view option. However, you can open a Finder window, hit CMD+J, set it up the way you want it using the check boxes, and select all windows. Then, whenever a window opens in either icon or column view, just press CMD+2 to put it into list view.
