Q: transfer photos via itunes without using the cloud
Hi,
since i´ve updated to Mavericks i have been losing the chance to sync photos from iPhoto to my iPad via USB.
It´s not working anymore. iTunes gave me the order to use the cloud. I´d rather prefer the option to decide that
by myself. In this case i cannot use my new iPad as i´d like to. I´m not sure if Apple will think about a turn back to
USB seriously. I guess that nobody will stop to collect private user data by operating in the shadows, but Apple´s
behavior is more like a bull in a china shop.
Does anybody nows how i can solve my problem easily? How can i get the chance to sync my photos, contact details
and calendar via USB? Do i have to reinstall the older OS version, or just the older iTunes version?
It would be very kind of you if someone could give me a decent solution. I´ve been thinking about giving up using
Apple products because of this kind of paternalism. My money is my voting paper. That should be certainly the very last option!
Please excuse my poor english, i´m German.
Kind Regards,
Maik

syncing itunes mac
first open itunes on mac computer
At top left you have an apple - itunes- file edit view ect...
go under view and show side bar
go under iTunes and check for updates (11.1.3 current) - update if needed
plug in iphone (or ipad, ipod ect..)
when the device shows up in the sidebar click on the name of device not the arrow
this opens up a summary page
across top says info, apps, music, photos, ect...
click on what you want to sync ie photos
check the top box that says sync photos select -entire library or selected pictures select what you want by checking
now apply or sync at bottom
Peace, Clyde
