Q: I cannot open IPHOTO until I update. Going to update the computer shows me "NO UPDATES AVAILABLE"

How do I update IPHOTO when my computer states that I cannot open iPhoto before updating and when I try to update, the computer states "NO UPDATES AVAILABLE".
