Apple TV wants a discontinued apple ID before I can access my computer throught it.
Can I change the apple id that apple tv requires?
Can this be accomplished through the restarting process?

If you are trying to set up Home Sharing, then the Apple ID that the Apple TV is requiring is the Apple ID that was used to set up Home Sharing on your computer. More information about this can be found here:
