Trying to delete trojan in trash but it says 'file in use'

Hi,


ClamXav found a trojan 'codecm_uploader', I quarantined it to a file and and put it in the trash. However, now it won't let me delete it in trash. I'm getting the message: "item in use". I have forced quit everything and tried it and it still won't delete. This is the only virus on the computer so I want to get rid of it quick.

I just restarted the computer and pressed delete and it emptied from the trash!

You are infected with the FkCodec, aka Codec-M, malware. Removing that file is not sufficient to remove the malware. There are other files installed in other places. The good news is, this malware isn't really that serious... it's just there to display ads so the hackers get paid by the advertisers. No keyloggers, remote access tools, etc.
