Spotlight: how to delete a saved search not returning any files

I have 4 spotlight searches taking place. None are returning any data. I delete the search criteria in each saved search, but cannot find a way to delete the search in it's entirety. Again, no data is being returned, I just want to delete the 4 Search not returning any data, but cannot. What is the secret to "deleting a spotlight search process"
