Set-up problem!
I JUST PLUGGED IN MY APPLE TV TO MY SAMSUNG HDTV WITH COMCAST CABLE. ALL I GET IS THE ANIMAL PHOTOS MOVING UP ALONG MY SCREEN. THAT'S ALL. NO OTHER CONTROLS WORK, AND NO SOUND.

What animal photos are you referring to? The screen saver?
Is the TV set to the correct input for the HDMI port that the ATV is connected to?
What is a Comcast cable? Comcast is a media company... they do not make cables.
