NOVATION LAUNCHKEY 49 SUSTAIN PEDAL IN LOGIC

im having trouble getting logic to recognize the sustain pedal when plugged into the novation lanch key 49. any suggestions?

"Having trouble"... does that mean it just doesn't work? How did you find out? Plugging in a sustain pedal will not be shown in any way on your Mac, all it does is send MIDI when pressed and send different MIDI when released. Which you can see in Logics' MIDI monitor on the customized "LCD" panel.

Sustain events need no special enabling in Logic. So you do not see any message in the LCD MIDI monitor? You may want to check your Novation maniual then, because the pedal is just a dumb switch, the MIDI message is generated by the Novations' MIDI engine. You might need to configure that correctly first.

There are options in Logic to disable or filter certain MIDI messages, but these are off by default.
