I removed the battery to be able to reboot the laptop because it was hanging...it came back up but as I attempted to pick wifi network it is hanging again with the colorful wheel going clockwise...

I don't understand why mac with new disk is hanging trying to get to the network.

My imac with disk not changed can get to the wifi just fine right next to the mac that just received replacement disk. Is it time to reboot or just return to the genius to find out why mac that worked fine before it needed new disk cannot get past the setup/wifi segment of installation from time machine backup...I earlier picked the wifi and gave it legitimate password... why is system hanging...

cannot figure out the message about "To open notificationExec, you need to install Rosetta...to install rosetta, connect to the internet and open notificationexec, if you cannot connect to the internet, insert your mac os x installation disk, open the optional installes folder and double-click optional installs...I do not have a disk because the apple store installed snow leopard...so how to get it to connect to wifi?? does this need to happen at the apple store...yikes!
