Weather app missing from new iPad Air

I have a new iPad Pro IOS 10. I do not have the weather info in my Today's summary and there is no Today Summary Widget either to activate or deactivate. Do you now if there is another way to activate the weather widget that shows up naturally to the left of the date in Today's view?

iPads do not come with the Weather and Stock apps preinstalled on iPhones. There are plenty of good free and paid apps available in App Store though.

iPads have never included a built in weather or stocks app (iPhones do). But, there aer a number in the app store - many free - that will do the job quite nicely. If you are looking for a preety complete and detailed weather app, I like WeatherBug (and in fact use it on the iPhone as well as the iPad.).

IIf weather is not on the device, why is there a weather update in my Notification Center today summary. More importantly, I am unable to delete the weather notification from the today summary, and I have no weather app on my device? How do you get rid of it?

There is no standalone weather app on an iPad. That doesn't mean there isn't weather in the notification center. It is part of the Today Summary. Swipe all the way to the bottom of the Today panel in the Notification Center. Tap Edit. Tap the red minus sign next to "Today Summary".

It was not there yesterday. My wife added it from a pop up in the screen, and no there is no way to get rid of it.

Delete the Today Summary from the Today panel of the Notification Center. If your wife added a third party widget to the Notification Center, it can also be deleted the same way as I described above.

All iPads do not have the weather app, I wish they did. My strongest recommendation is use the weather channel app. Cheers!

the weather app use gps, wifi ipads does not have gps so rely on asking the router of the location which can be wrong or at least very unprecise this is the likely cause of the weather app being absent

I bought two iPad minis the same day for two members of my family, one wifi and one wifi+cellular. The weather app was preloaded on the wifi+cellular and not on the wifi. This solves my question 🙂
