Apple TV2 cannot connect to Netflix .. message on tv screen always say "Netflix currently unavailable. Please try again later." I have tried both wifi and ethernet connection but to no avail. ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED.

I restarted the router on each connection (wifi & ethernet) and rebooted Apple TV after, but the same message had reappeared each time.
On the ATV, Settings > General > Reset.

..after resetting, and for the first time ever, ATV2 is able to access Netflix and that I was able to log in for the first time too! It stayed on processing for the longest time getting in into Netflix. However, the same message "Netflix is currently unavailable. Try again later." had reappeared on tv screen after. Resetted and restarted ATV2 again but the same message had reappeared.
Possibly a network issue or a problem with the Netflix account.
How is the ATV connected to the network, Ethernet or Wi-Fi?
Have you checked to see that your software on the apple tv is up to date?
I had the same issue exactly. Updated my software and voila - watching netflix!

At the present time ATV2 is connected to the network via the Wi-Fi.

Under Settings - General - Update Software, whenever I clicked on it, a message pops up on tv screen as "Your Apple TV is up to date." , but I never really saw the process of updating.
