I'm assuming your project is finished by now, but for other people who may stumble upon this forum, I'll post a few other links. A few disclaimers, like most MNCs Apple obtains raw materials through many different countries and do not buy directly from these companies that mine the materials, this makes it very difficult to trace. They won't tell you where they get it form for two reasons, 1) It's part of a trade secret so no one can duplicate their product easily 2) A lot of raw materials sometimes come from controversial areas of the world.

This list contains just ONE example of where they get the materials listed. They can trace back to many more places than the few listed.

Raw Materials, I unfortunately haven't found plastic yet:

Tungsten: http://agmetalminer.com/2013/08/15/farc-terrorist-tungsten-taints-apple-inc-sams ung-supply-chains/

I apologize if any of these links have inaccuracies or do not explain enough, but it's a very hard dig so it's at least a start to seeing how deep the rabbit hole goes!

Good to hear about the effort to stop buying tantalum from warlords, easily one of the most contreversial resources for electronics. I purposefully didn't include it because I felt it would make me look too biased against apple. I understand that blood minerals are a problem with most MNCs and most of the time doesn't directly connect to the company, but still the fact that it ends up somewhere in the chain is definitely worth mentioning.
