Q: I can not open videos that need to be watched for nursing school. I need help.

I'm trying to access some videos for nursing school, but my macbook air won't play them. I need help.

MacBook Air, iOS 7.0.4

Are they Flash videos?
You can tell by right clicking (or Control clicking) where the video should be.
If you see this:
They're Flash.

This is the message I see...

QuickTime Player can't open "DDVD0183-2_NursingProcessAndCriticalThinking.rm.ram".
To see if additional software is available that will enable QuickTime Player to open the movie, click Tell Me More.

RAM is a RealPlayer file, but I agree with Neil. Use VLC. RealPlayer is junk. I don't use Perian, but I've used VLC on Macs and PCs since 2006. It'll play them.
