UNLOCK SPRINT IPHONE 4

I've been getting the run around for 3 days now. No one at Sprint tech support knows anything no one at the actual Sprint stores knows anything either. I took my phone to a T-Mobile store last night and they couldn't help me.

Long story short, my contract with Sprint ended and I wish to use my iPhone 4 with T-Mobile. I contacted Sprint and got an unlock code. I was told to take my iPhone to any carrier and they would know what to do. Unfortunately, b/c this iPhone does NOT have a SIM card slot on the side, T-Mobile can't do anything. At this point, I just want to get rid of the phone so I'm willing to sell it. I went to the Sprint store earlier and they couldn't unlock the phone.

What do I do?? Do I bring the iPhone into an Apple store to have the iPhone flashed or the SIM card changed? Or just give up completely and just throw the phone away? I have been w/o a phone for 3 days now and with a 1 year old, I NEED to have a way to be reached.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

iPhone 4, iOS 7.0.4

Sprint refuses to unlock it. I go to the store they tell me no, call tech support. I call tech support they say no, take it to the new carrier and they will fix it. I take it to the new carrier and they can't do anything b/c this SIM card is build in. Even with the code SPRINT provided me with, I can't do anything. I really hate Sprint and I'm glad to no longer be with them.

Thanks for replying @Niel!

To be fair to Sprint in that case, unlike the 4S and later iPhones the iPhone 4 is not a world phone. CDMA iPhones (Sprint and Verizon) could only be used on CDMA networks, GSM iPhone 4s (think T-Mobile and AT&T) could only be used on GSM systems.

Since the two CDMA carriers in the US, Sprint and Verizon, have a policy of not accepting walkin phones those models really aren't "locked", the CDMA carriers just won't accept it and flash it. As you've discovered there is no SIM slot which is why you could not use it with AT&T and T-Mobile.

Trying to "unlock" your iPhone was pointless and I thing this it what confused the people at Sprint as that phone is not locked.
