Ipad mini retina ios7.0.4 got unexpectedly reset. Lost all apps

Last night after I cast a few videos to chromecast using the YouTube app. I kept my ipad mini aside. After a while a light flashed on the screen making whole screen blank and the apple logo showed up. It got reset and after it returned back to the home screen, I checked for my installed apps and all of them are gone. What could be the cause and how do I bring all the apps back? I tried rebooting the ipad again. No luck as of yet....
