Q: Video Stutter/CPU spikes

Hello,

I am trying to play back a movie in a session in Logic Pro X, on my Mac Pro 4,1 (2.23 x 2 quad Nehalem).

The same session plays back no problem on my retina macbook pro , but it stutters on the Mac Pro.

VTDecoderXPCService seems to be the issue, as you can see from the attached screencap.

the same process spikes also when playing a simply movie in quicktime.

Any suggestions?
