I have a MacBook Pro from 2010. How do I get iMessage to work on it?

I have a MacBook Pro from 2010 and was wondering if it's possible to get FaceTime and/or iMessage on the laptop. Does anyone know if this is possible, and if so, please let me know how! Thanks!

Why yes, yes it is! I see that you are running 10.6.8, so the best soultion would be to upgrade to Mavericks. If I am not mistaken, it is at no cost to you. Just go to the Mac App Store & find the Mavericks upgrade. It should be one of the more popular options on the featured page.
