iTunes on my pc will not show updates

I have windows 7. I have iTunes 11.1.3.8 installed. It was working fine for me a few hours ago. I would open iTunes and it would show what apps needed to be updated. Now when I open the iTunes it says there are no apps that need updating. And I know there are. I have to manually type in the app's name in the search and update it from the iTunes store. Is there any way of fixing this? Where iTunes on my pc scrolls through my library once again and tells me which ones need updating. I do this daily. I tried to reinstall / fix files iTunes, but still have this problem.
