iMovie keeps sharing/exporting the video wrong!!!

Whenever I play my movie in the timeline that's in the project itself, the movie plays fine, HOWEVER whenever I try to share it on youtube, iDVD, or export it, the movie plays wrong. The audio is detached from the picture and plays randomly throughout the video. I have tried quiting iMovie and and restarting the computer then redoing the process of sharing the video (Which takes FOREVER) but still the movie is bounced wrong! I've wasted almost 5 hours trying to get this to work. It's a fairly simple project. Kinda long (around 8 min.) but should that really affect the way it's played after sharing? I need help. This is my final!
