Q: Where do I download QuickTime 7 Pro

I just bought QuickTime 7 Pro

I have received the confirmation email regarding purchase.  These are the instructions for downloading the installation file.

"

Visit the Apple Online Store Account Page. On the "Your Account" page, click "View Order History."  Sign in with your Apple ID and password, then click on "All Item Actions" and select "Download Now". For more information about accessing your account, visit online Help. Please note that no package will be shipped to you, and you can begin using your software right away."

There is no "All Items Actions" dropdown for me to select Download Now.  The purchase is listed but with no download link.  Ironically there is one for a hardware product I purchased.  These are the only instructions on how to access the download.  How else can I get the installation if this doesn't work?

Click here, download the player, and apply the QuickTime Pro key to it.

Thanks.  I did that and it worked.  Although the software is still called Q'time Player.  Is there a download of the proper Pro installation or have Apple moved to this as the only method of obtaining the pro version?

There is no QuickTime Pro application or download; applying the QuickTime Pro code(or on a Mac, purchasing old versions of software such as Final Cut Pro) unlocks all the features of the QuickTime Player application. It's always been this way.

Well the problem is solved either way.

Although, I find it hard to believe it has "always been this way" considering this quote from my purchase confirmation email.

How do I access my software?

The Quicktime package has always had Pro features included as part of the basic install. You just needed the Pro license to make them available.

If you go to download the "Pro" version, it will be the same as downloading the non-pro version. The difference is the App store ties the Pro License to your computer.
