Does Apple Studio Display CRT with ADC cord work with Macpro 2006-2012

Hey, I want to upgrade my Powermac G4 to Mac Pro 2006-2012. I wonder if my existing Apple CRT Studio Display could work with her. Or I shall give up that display. Thanks and good day!

Mac Pros do not have ADC (Apple Display Connector) ports. There are adapters from DVI to ADC but they are for LCDs, not CRT displays. The adapter includes the power supply for the display, and a CRT needs a lot more power than a LCD. Also the Apple adapter does not pass through the analog video needed by a CRT.

It is possible to build your own adapter if you get a power supply (24-28 VDC, 5 A).
