Does anyone have the similar issue of trying to use the new Watch ABC app and it sits on loading... but never displays a menu?
I've Reset All Settings, but the issue is still occurring. NO other new apps on the device are giving this kind of problem.
I'm using a 2nd Generation AppleTV (720p) - and have never encountered this before.
Mac OS X (10.7.2)
I have the same issue. All other apps are working fine. settings/general/reset/reset all settings did not work for me. Going to try settings/general/reset/restore.
2nd gen atv here as well.
A factory reset did not solve my issue.
Same issue here on 2 separate AppleTV (Gen 2's). Both reset and then restored...still not working. Nice to hear I'm not the only one, though it is hard to find any info on this.
Same issue here on Apple TV (Gen 3).
Still no changes in the issue. I wondered if it was ABC Server-side since everything else loads fine, but since you just posted the issue with a Apple TV 3rd Gen now it's not isolated to 2nd Gen so far.
I contact abc support and they told me to change browsers from safari to chrome prior to activating via their activation code process. advise if anyone wants to try this. apple should tune in here - a partner is steering apple customers away from safari.

The problem is I never GET to the activation screen. I'm doubting the others get to it either. It just sits on the Accessing ABC... Screen and never loads any content menu whatsoever.
That's the same point I get stuck. A spinning circle waiting to load. I have tried everything, oh well, with no solution I guess I'll just hide it from the main screen.
I can get to the pint where I cohos a show to watch, then it spins. It does it on both 2nd & 3rd gen apple tvs.

Per a Level 5 user Apple will not get involved with sparse threads such as this. It's the same problem - AppleTV doesn't work with featured programming. More voices are needed in one single discussion.
I seem to have had luck resetting my viewing history. Every time I get stalled out on the loading abc screen I go to the menu and select clear viewing history. This seems to solve the issue.
