On my iPhone5, the user in air drop comes up as private list instead of the contacts name. Can't figure out why that is.

Nevermind - figured it out. The email address of the recipient for their apple ID was in my contact list as private list (for some odd reason). Once I moved that address to their contact entry it worked perfectly.
