this happened just minutes ago, i was playing dota 2 on my comp before it auto shuts down to install the window updates.
after installing, there was no sound......... i've tried reinstalling the audio drivers and tried this cirrus audio but both didn't work..
HELP 😢
and yes i got a red light at my headphone there

Do you have an nVidia graphics card in your laptop? I've had to roll back drivers for mine the last couple months because an updated nVidia driver was messing up my sound for some reason. It must be a VERY recent update that is being pushed because I just saw it tonight, but this new nVidia driver fixed my sound issue. Hopefully if you do have nVidia then your card will need the update and it should fix the sound.
Exactly the same problem. No sound after Windows 7 updates. Tried many setting,s and nothing worked.

hi i'm not sure what kind of graphic card i had but i'm pretty certain that mine wasn't nVidia graphic card. but thank you still because my issue has been solved

hi, just in case you are still suffering from this problem and that there's nothing wrong with your speakers and stuff, what you can do is update your bootcamp. it will solve all the sound drivers problem like mine and the red light will not shine anymore.
download the bootcamp update from apple support and run it in windows
I have NVIDIA (my MBA was puchased on late 2000.)
Mac side, it works.
How to update bootcamp? Will it affect my current setup?

alright, first you need to download it, go to http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1638 to download the update
and then follow these steps
