Anyone else with an rMini with auto brightness not working?

I just got an rMini and if I bring it to a bright place, it will brighten up but it will not go down if i bring it to a place with low light unless i shut the screen off then on again. Anyone else having this behavior? I have tried calibrating it and doing a restore.
