How can I save a file consisting of content streamed from the internet into Itunes?

How can I save a file consisting of content streamed from the internet into Itunes, and where would it be located?

When attempting this, I end up with a file consisting of data for accessing the source of the data, which is a radio station. I need the file to show content of what I streamed, not data for accessing the station.
