app updates not showing on itunes since 12/12/2013

Hi all,

Since yesterday, i cannot found any app updates on the updates section. I already press the check for updates button but itunes said that all my apps are up to date. However, if i open the itunes store. Some of the apps that i own shows that they have updates. But they are not found in the updates section. So until now i have to check manually for updates for each of my apps.

For further information. I Have only one apple id which i use for purchase, and all my apps are under those apple id.

Any solution for this problem?

Possibly everyone affected but a lot of people will not even notice as some do not look at iTunes every day to see if apps need updating.


And to those with lots of Apps on their computer you don't really need to worry about any of them becoming updated - apps on your device will show they need updating, and if you transfer something to your phone from computer that does need an update, that too will show it needs updating. But if, like me you have maybe 15-20% of your apps on your phone (assuming you've downloaded loads of freebies that you end up not using), it doesn't matter if those on your computer are not updated for a few hours (or however long it takes Apple to resolve this) as you are not using them.


So no need to go off to each app in iTunes to see if it needs an update, just wait until this is sorted.

I have only one account and it started on 12/12/13. Around that same time, Windows did some updates so don't know if it's an iTunes thing or something went awry from the Windows update. Maybe related: I have a fitbit Ultra that I sync one a week on my PC to Fitbit's servers. Evey Saturday actually and today it refuses to sync and has never had that problem before. So maybe this isn't iTunes but something in a Windows update blocking outbound traffic from both iTunes and my Fitbit attempting to contact an outside server? Just another direction to look, but I haven't actually a clue. If all else fails, attempting a system restore to a date prior to 12/12/13 might fix both problems?

I have ony one account so it's not to do with multiple accounts.


Not sure it was the Windows update as I installed that on Tuesday evening when it appeared and the App updates continued for me until just after 20.00 on Friday 13th. Plus it is happening on my windows 8 laptop as well and the updates have not yet applied to that one, ditto my windows 8.1 netbook.


Suspect we just have to wait until Apple resolve this.
