More information for the problem - I looked into the ihome iB85 wereles bluetooth manual. It says to start the bluetooth pairing button, and then blue light will blink. And then to start the bluetooth in iphone. Once the iphone shows the device, click it to add and then in headphone light will become solid blue. But iphone dont show the device.

I tested bluetooth connectivity with my laptop, and understand that first the device needs to initiate manualy pairing request with code, which I cannot do in case of headphone.

So, if you start the pairing of the device, do you the blue light blinking? If not, then the device is not in pairing mode. If you do not get the iPhone device into pairing mode, the phone will never find it.

Turn the Bluetooth off on the phone. Put the iHome into pairing mode. Make sure it is in pairing mode before you try turning Bluetooth on for the iPhone. The is more likely a case of the iHome not being in pairing mode.

I understand what you wrote, and unless you did not write what you meant to, you never stated that you got the headset into pairing mode. Testing with a laptop will not show connectivity to the phone.

Just so we are understanding each other, I will ask again, did you get the iHome into pairing mode? Does it display the blinking light as you say it states in the manual?

Have you ever connected the iPhone to a Bluetooth device in the past? Does your wi-fi work? Perform a reset on the phone. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. This will cause the phone to reboot and will not affect your data. Try putting the iHome into pairing mode again and turn on Bluetooth to the phone and see if it connects. If you were able to connect to Bluetooth on the phone then it appears to be working correctly. I suggest that you contact iHome support to see if they can help you troubleshoot the iHome set. Another thing to try is if someone else has a phone that you can try to connect the iHome device to and see if it is able to discover the headset. At this point it does not appear to me the iPhone is the problem.
