I used O2M (that's the name meaning Outlook to Mail) from Little Machines. I think I first read about O2M in "The Missing Manual" series Switching to the Mac book. I've also heard that the Apple Stores use this app to move mail too. Anyway, you install it on your windows pc and it just works as advertised. http://www.littlemachines.com.

Outlook PST to MBOX Converter is a best and user-friendly software that facilitates smooth conversion of Outlook mailboxes (PST files) to MBOX files. The software supports PST to MBOX migration for Thunderbird, Spicebird, SeaMonkey, and Netscape.

Does O2M still exist?? I used it about 5 years ago and it did not work well. Maybe it is better now?.
Any converter that is completely free? the 2 links you gave needs to pay for the full version.
This is an Apple Mac, not a P.C. Free stuff is often bad or dangerous, spend some dough is best.
Hi, Peter, be careful with that statement: most crap, like CleanMyMac and MacKeeper and many other crap, you have to pay for !

D'oh! you are quite right, some awful paid-for stuff out there, and LibreOffice, Tinkertool and Adware Removal Tool are free if you don't want to donate.
I've just downloaded 'PST Viewer' from the App Store, only £6.99 at the moment and it works perfectly - very happy.
