You might (depending upon what country that you are in and if the music is still in the store) be able to redownload your iTunes purchased music via the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app on your new iPod. If you can't redownloaded your purchases, and for music from other sources (e.g. copied from CDs), then you will need to sync it via a computer.
