need help trying to figure out why my Apple TV will not play / stream content from my device
I have already done a factory reset and the problem still exist
THe A TV is connected to my monitor and my wireless router and I want to stream content from Ipad to my A TV using my wifi like I've done in the past

Tried all of the above...no success
the A TV works because I can watch content from the options available on the A TV but I can't stream from my Ipad 3 or connect to my Itunes account. THis is frustrating...I have this thing that I can't use
Then it sounds like a network issue, have you done anything to your network recently.
I changed the password and that's all. both on the same network. My Ipad doesn't even show the same control panel i.e. the functions that would allow me to select my A TV. I did a network test on my A TV and it passed/ was successful. I just checked my virus/ security software and my router settings. Out of ideas! Does anyone know if I have to have Apple Air Play now as well?
Can both devices connect and show data from the internet. You did restart the router I assume.
yes both devices work and function separately but they will not interact
Can you stream content from the library on the computer.
On which devices are you unable to log into your iTunes account.
Problem resolved. I had to drop the A TV and reboot my router and then the "air play" option showed after I rebooted. Thanks for all the help
Aghh yes, restarting the router (I did suggest it earlier)
you sure did but I also had to change the IP address of the A TV
Then there is something wrong with your router or it's settings, your router should supply the address if you are using DHCP.
My Apple TV will not connect and display the connect from IPAD. It worked in the past however it is not working now. Ipad version IOS 7.0.4 Apple TV 6.0.2
