If it appears, your printer is compatible with your OS X version, so there's no need to downgrade. To add the printer, follow these steps > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4670

Dec 14, 2013 6:34 AM in response to gracer15by stedman1,Not necessarily. If the printer is fairly new, it will most likely still be supported on the newer versions of OS. Check the manufacturers web site for updated drivers.

Nothing to worry about. You can get updated drivers online if needed.
