iPad Mini W/Retina...glass is SO THIN...

I noticed on my new device that the glass is extremely thin (you notice it over the screen area by slightly pressing or tapping with your fingernail.) I compared it to my iPhone 4 and iPad 2 and I swear the glass feels like it's paper thin...seems extremely fragile, more so than any iDevice I've ever owned. Even though the device is thicker than the first generation Mini, I'm guessing the glass is even thinner on this model because of the larger battery and the retina display in the mini?

What I want to know is, what makes soemone want to press on the glass hard enough to see it press in?

I have never ever thought of doing that and I sure wouldn;t try it.

Tests I do on every iDevice I buy, when I push I am delicate, just enough to see if it flexes or not. I notice on the phones there is not really any flex but on the iPads there is HUGE flex...probably because the screen is larger than the phone is.
