when i enlarge photo (on some of my pictures) it quickly changes to a triangle with an exclamation point in the middle - how do I correct this problem?

It started a few days ago. I was looking through my photos. I could check them when they were smaller - as soon as I enlarged them - screen turned black, a grey triangle with an exclamation point appeared in the middle. It is not changing every picture - just some. How do I get rid of this problem? What caused this in the first place? Any help would be appreciated.

MacBook Pro, Other OS, OS X 10.8.5 (12F45)

what version of iPhoto? What has recently changed?

most basic answer is Back up your iPhoto library, Depress and hold the option (alt) and command keys and launch iPhoto - rebuild your iPhoto database

Try the following:

1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.

2 - Run Option #4, Rebuild Database, followed by Option #1 if needed.

I have the same problem, I've tried everything that you said with the rebuild thing and it didnt work. Any help?

download iPhoto Library Manager - http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/ - and use its rebuild command - this creates a totally new library leaving the existing one for any future needs
