Switching Full Screen Apps Choppy

Hi,

I have a Macbook Air Mid 2013 and since I have installed Mavericks next month, I notice that when I have several apps open, my switching between full screen apps can be pretty choppy. The programs I am using are not heavy. It's basic programs like Notes, calendar, Maps, Pages, Safari. It's just that when I have several programs open and need to switch between full screen apps or desktops, it can get really stuttery and laggy. I never had this problem with Mountain Lion. Any suggestions?
