I have been sent a nano 6th gen to replace my original 1st gen due to the battery problem. There was no charger lead or instructions so i am unsure whether we can charger using the old charger?

charge a 6th gen as ive been sent this by apple with no instruction or leads etc?

Yes, your original USB cord will work perfectly. I treasure my 1st-Gen Shuffle cord, because it has a much easier-to-grip dock connector than the new ones.
