able to download older version of Pandora onto iPod touch?

Hello.

I bought this used iPod Touch (version 3.1.3). When I first got it, I was really frustrated because the only reason I bought the thing was to play Pandora for my work, yet when I tried to download Pandora it said that I needed iOS 5. I tried to update my software but it won't go any further.

My friend was able to get the option to download an earlier version of Pandora and it worked. Today there was an issue and Pandora said there was something keeping it from playing and I should try to reboot the app. So I tried restarting the iPod AND the app, and finally was going to delete and reinstall Pandora. I deleted it but now I can't reinstall it!
I googled and searched these forums and couldn't find an answer. I did find this article: http://www.idownloadblog.com/2013/09/17/app-store-legacy-app-downloads/ saying that Apple would now let you download older versions of apps. Yet I am not able to on my iPod.

Someone please help! How do I get my iPod to offer me the older version of Pandora? Is there another way I can reinstall this onto the iPod? I need help, this is a work issue.

Thank you for your time.

Then your only way is if you have the version that was compatible on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case delete the current version that is in your iTunes App library and replace it with the older version. Then sync.

Have iTunes open, I think.

Download EasyFind at https://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/11076/easyfind and search for .ipa on your entire hard drive. Sort by name and go to Pandora section.

5.1 will not run but 3.1.12 will on iPod Touch with OS 4.2.1

Double click on 3.1.12 and it will ask if you want to replace Pandora app with older version. Say yes and then sync you iPod Touch and it will work.

Interestingly my Pandora 3.1.12 stopped working recently. Read on the internet that the date and time needed to be set right for Pandora to work. My iPod ran out of battery and I lost the correct date and time and it wouldn't connect to Pandora. Set the correct date and time and it now connects and works.

I also have a ipod and need an old version of Pandora. Pandora (and the internet) says app store will offer an older version download, but it does not. I've also tried a few other "tips and tricks" found on the internet to no avail. I don't have an old backup to grab the software from. Is there anything I can do?

Thanks!

Well, see, there's the problem. There is no app for the "Ipod" at the itunes store. And going to the app store on the ipod just brings up the latest download, with no option for the older device. i.e., it doesn't do what the internet says it will do. The only thing that happens is I get a message that says, "The app "Pandora" was not installed on the ipod because it requires a newer version of ipod software.
