apple tv has hdcp errors through pioneer vsx-523-k av receiver

Apple tv worked fine with an old pioneer av receiver, I had a hdmi selector switch with other sources and optical for audio through a selector switch. I'm running it to a projetor. I had no problem with the way it worked, but it was completcated for others to use it. I bought a new pioneer VSX-523-k reciever with 4K ultra pass through. My BLURAY and DIDGITAL SET TOP BOX works fine. APPLE TV 2nd generation has HDCP and it flickers a green screen. I have sound because when I use the apple remote you can hear the clicking sound. When I try to run a movie it loads but come's up with HDCP error. Anyone had these problems? This is a late model AV receiver. I have changed HDMI cable's and different ports.
