Q: profile manager not visible via https
Hi,
Bit of a novice with regards to all things OSX having made the leap of faith from MS environment.
I purchased a Mac Mini a while back with OSX Server (currently running 10.8.5) on it and bumbled my way through setting it up for my personal domain. All systems appear to be working, in particular mail and DNS.
Jump forward to now and have also added an iMac in to the mix (running OSX 10.9). I have a couple of young children and wanted to utilise the Parental Controls (as well as other features) as part of Profile Manager, so started to set PM up. Turns out I had already switched it on when first setting up OSX Server and some things were already configured. Followed a few tutorials re correct set up as best as I could match from what I had already done, but am now having some dramas with regards to accessing the Profile Manager via the links in the Profile Manager screen.
If I click on the "Open Profile Manager" link Safari opens and I am presented with a page with an error stating "Profile Manager service is turned off. An administrator can turn it on using the Server application.". Problem is that the Profile Manager is actually on. In addition the page being served up is via HTTPS (obviously given all the certificate stuff done as part of setup), however, if I alter the address to use http://server.whatever.com.au/profilemanager it appears to work but goes back to the HTTPS version, if I do the change one more time I'm presented with the Profile Manager as expected and can make alterations etc.
In addition, if I try and visit the User Portal link from the PM settings screen in Server, I only get a 404 error regardless of trying to view if via HTTPS or HTTP. I have other sites running from this server and can access them via HTTPS no worries (albeit with the generic certificate warning message that appears due to it being self signed). The same is true on the iMac.
I'm at a loss as to where to go next. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Worked it out!
I also host a couple of personal websites and these were configured to use the IP of the server; removed this and set it to use the "Any" option and profile manager started working as expected. Not done a full test of the entire thing to see if anything else is broken but this has me moving on from here!
