You have to search the Apple App store for the corresponding IOS App to see if that desried app is also availble for your Iphone and Ipad. However, 3g can only run on IOS 4.2.1 and most of the apps will be at least IOS 6-7.

If your iPhone is a 3G then IOS 4.2.1 is the latest version. If you are on an even older version then you can connect to a computer running the latest version of iTunes and update to 4.2.1.
Your 3G is a great fon and a very reliable music device.
