Yes, all my sounds are turned on. The bar that usually slowly moves to the right, doesn't even move when I try to play a song.

I have solved my problem, maybe this works for you too:
(I have the Dutch version of iTunes so I will try to translate the steps for you)
Open iTunes
Go to 'edit'
then click 'preferences'
then click the tab 'play'
then go to 'play audio via'
And switch from 'direct sound' to 'windows audio session'
