My photos won't load in my camera roll, any fixes?

With the last update (ios 7.0.4, I think) I had to do a complete restore of my iphone 4s, which is nearly always painful for me, but I got everything restored correctly, except my photos. I can see spaces for the pics in my camera roll, but when I open them I get an infinite "loading" screen. On the albums screen, I see the camera roll and my photo stream, with a downloading... visual below. Has anyone experienced this, and more importantly, does anyone have a fix? I also have a screen pop up sometimes saying that I need to connect to wifi to continue restoring my phone, but being an iphone 4s user I've given up on ever having wifi again...is there a way around this? I restored my phone through itunes, and everything but the pictures are fine.....

So I need to do another full restoration for my pics? I'm doing what caused my problem to solve my problem and hoping it works? This makes me very nervous, I've had iphone restorations turn into all-day pains-in-my-***. And do a search for iphone 4s wifi greyed-out. Apple assures me that there is no problem, but me, and from what I can tell, a LOT of other people, would disagree with that. I'm about at the point that this is my last iphone. My household and I are likely switching to Android after these problems.

No, you are not restoring the iOS again, just the backup. The photos didn't restore properly the 1st time. There is no other way to get them back on your phone unless you previously imported them to a photo app on your computer.

That issue is not specific to the iPhone 4S - it has occurred with every model (except 5s so far). It almost always is caused by hardware failure that requires replacement or repair. First try everything here:

iOS: Wi-Fi settings grayed out or dim
