Problem: SteerMouse with Logitech MX1000 Bluetooth

Others have reported success with the SteerMouse driver/software on bluetooth mouse like MX1000 BT, but I am still missing some functionalities:

1. Why doesn't SteerMouse recognize the 'fn' key on the keyboard when I want to create a shortcut key? There is shift, ctrl, option and command, but why I just CAN'T add the 'fn' key? Is there a "right" way to add the fn key?

2. Also, the tilt left and right on the mouse doesn't NOT respond under SteerMouse. They were even working on OS X's default Bluetooth connection, how could they not work on Steermouse? Their FAQ only says that to configure mouse tilt on Button 7 and 8, which is vague at best. I've done that already and still the tilt doesn't work

Macbook, Mac OS X (10.4.7)

Ok, here's an update.

1. Problem 1 is solved by the latest beta version of the SteerMouse driver

2. I've just been told by the developer of SteerMouse that their software does NOT support the 'fn' key on the keyboard! I actually don't care about this, as long as there's a way to send the "Ctrl-PgUp" or "Ctrl-PgDwn" commands to Firefox so I can use the backward and forward buttons on my mouse to navigate firefox tabs backward and forward. Any ideas from anyone?
