iPad mini with retina gets hot when playing games connected to server or downloading Apps consecutively. Is it normal? Anyone encountered the same problem?
How about iPad air? Anyone sees the similar problem? Consider to change the new mini to air.
The back may get warm. If you have a case covering the back, consider removing it when doing these activities.
If it's warm, it's fine. If it's too hot to hold, that may be a problem that should be checked my Apple techs with a Genius Bar appointment.
There is no cover. Not too hot to hold , But temperature rises. It happens only when I download apps or pls games with connection to server continuously. If I play offeline game, it is fine. Is it normal? Any suggestions on iPad air? Any similar problems?
Apparently, it is normal. I also have a Mini w/retina and it heats up with use, but nothing I would describe as "hot." I didn't experience this with the original Mini.

How come this is normal if the same heating up was not with the Original Mini.
I purchased mini w/retina yesterday, experienced the overheating and eventually draining the battery.
I returned it same day. I dint want to wait for 6 months for Apple to come with a fix.
I just bought mine today. While using it I can feel the heat from the front screen, not the back. Room tempeture defiinately fine. Anyone has the same problem?

You know that the iPads metal frame dissipates heat quite effectively, not so if any of you guys have stuck it in a case, so just take it out if you're going to do anything intensive.
i have also the same problem. But i have also the ipad mini 1st generation, but it is not getting hot. Have you solved the probelm? Please reply
