Does OS X have an equivalent to iOS's Remote app?

I have a headless Mac Mini in the closet which I use as a file server and iTunes server for my various AirPlay speakers. Controlling playback's easy via iOS with the Remote app, but I can't find anything to control a remote iTunes application for OS X, short of using VNC or SSH. Any suggestions?

You misunderstand. I know how to control iTunes from iOS (using Remote). What I want is to control iTunes—running remotely on my headless Mac Mini server—from my MacBook.
