iMessage is not working- any suggestions?

Hi,

This morning, my iPhone 4S would not send iMessage, but would send text messages. On my Macbook Pro, my iMessage also was not working, and both continually do not work. I reset my Apple ID password, but that did not work. I tried to turn iMessage on and off on my iPhone, and now it says that there is an error with iMessage, so it will not let me log into iMessage to see if the password reset had any effect. Also, I looked in my iMessage on my Macbook and I do not know where to look to see if there is a way to find out why it is not working.

Any help or suggestions woud be great! Thanks!
