Quicktime X frame number

How to get Quicktime X to display the frame number of the video? If I can't do this is Quicktime Player 10.3, can I do it in iMovie10.0.1? Or do I have to purchase Quicktime 7 Pro? I am doing a science experiment (motion of a ball down a ramp) using footage from a iPhone 5S in 120 fps and I want to count the number of frames between the start and finish of the experiment.

iMovie '11, OS X Mavericks (10.9)

I've been poking around with the QTX 10.3 and cannot find a frame counter.

You'll need to get the QuickTime 7.6.6 here: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL923 and install it.

Open a file and look at the timecode counter at the left of the movie progress bar.

If you mouse onto the timecode and click, a little popup opens that gives the option to change it to the frame counter.

There you go.
