Since upgrading to Mavericks, my Mini Mac frequently has a lost HDMI signal to the monitor. I have to unplug everything and wait awhile for it to come back on. This happened again last night while I listening to a school lecture and playing Free Cell. Is anyone else having this problem? How do I keep this from happening.

I have not seen your problem posted here before. There is a common problem with losing monitor when you wake the Mini from sleep.
I know that is why I posted the problem. I could not find where it was happening with anyone else.
I am having the same issue. My Mac Mini is loosing signal. I can be bothersome. Is there a known issue with theis. I am running OSX 10.9 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5 8GB or ram. Any thoughts???
Here is am running OSx 10.9 Processor is 2.5 Ghz Intel Core i5 and Memory is 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3. I am stumped on this and it is a hassle getting the signal back after it is lost.
If the unit is still under warranty, I suggest you take it to an Apple Store for testing before the warranty expires.
I have had the unit for over a year. I don't think it is still under warranty. The problem happened again last night when I was at work and my husband was playing a geme on it. I had to unplug the Mini Mac and the monitor when I got home and replug them back in this morning when I got up to get the signal working again.
I know this already. I should not have to do it on a daily basis.
What other attempts have you made to solve the problem that you didn't mention?
I bought a new monitor that had HDMI ports thinking the problem may have been with the HDMI/DVI adapter. I tried a different HDMI cable. I've tried unplugging the HDMI cable from both the monitor and the Mac Mini and then replugging them back in. I have 2 HDMI ports on the back of my monitor and have tried moving the HDMI cable between the two ports. The only thing that works to get the signal back is to unplug both the Mini Mac and the monitor then wait and plug them back in and turn the Mini Mac back on.
I just finished running the utility to repair disk permissions. Will wait and see if that helped any.

It won't. You've probably ruled out everything except an internal hardware fault or a bug. However, you can try the following.
Boot in Recovery mode. From the OS X Utilities screen, select Get Help Online. A clean copy of Safari will launch. No plugins, such as Flash, will be available. While in Recovery, you'll have no access to your saved bookmarks or passwords, so make a note of those before you begin, if they're needed for the test.
Test. After testing, reboot as usual and post the results.
Are you talking running a test or actually a reinstall?

It is almost time for me to get ready to go to work today. Will probably have to try this tomorrow although I should be reviewing for a school exam instead.
A wasted two hours. I spent two hours yesterday re-installing Mavericks. As I have stated previously, the problem did not occur until I upgraded to Maverick. After the re-install yesterday, my husband was playing a game last night and the signal to the monitor was lost.
