Error 36 - When Importing photo's from a CF card

Help...I am trying to import photo's from a CF card to my G5 & my Macbook pro. I can import from a memory stick with no probs to either machine. I can see the thumbnail in preview but thats it, giving ERROR 36..

Has 10.4.7 something to do with this ??

PLEASE SOMEONE SAVE ME....ARRRRRRR

I assume you mean error -36... if so, that's an I/O error. There may be something wrong with that CF card.

How are you attempting to get the data from the CF card?

Are you downloading from a card reader or the camera?

If from a card reader what bus is the card reader connected to?

Hi Allan, and thanx for the welcome.

I used to download fron my Canon EOS20D direct to the front port on the mac using the cable supplied with canon. I have scince tried a card reader and a different port on the back, unfortunatly no joy.

Unfortunaly it works both ways on a windoz machine

HI Steve, the card is fine as it works ok when i upload to a windowz machine, i even tried a different card, but with no joy.
