I lost my ipod for about a week and when i found it i had forgotten the passcodeand i've tride connecting it to itunes and i has said that my ipod is passcode lockedso now my ipod is worthless

recovery mode
open itunes on computer
plug cable into computer not iOS device
turn device off
hold home button and plug cable into IOS device. do not release home button until an itunes graphic appears on IOS device.
look to computer should have message about recovery mode click ok and restore
